Our story…
We're so pleased to share how Family Service protects and serves seniors, individuals and families in this pandemic. Our doors have always been open and our services continue making a big difference. We keep people safe from illness, but we also protect their mental, emotional and social well-being. People age 60+ receive home-delivered services, meals, groceries, art kits, weekly friendly calls and safe rides. We partner with Senior Task Force to help create two locally-produced weekly TV programs for older audiences.
Throughout the pandemic, people received counseling remotely and we offered Children First classes virtually until in-person could return safely. Today we're still giving people service options to keep everyone happy. Our Self-Help Center helped people stay calm, get connected and even learn to celebrate again through virtual support groups and dynamic online workshops.
Our active senior volunteers have been busy! They've made fidget blankets for people with dementia, holiday stockings for veterans and neighbors without homes and Sunshine kits for children in the hospital.
Together we're helping our community heal and move forward. Your support today makes such a difference for a senior, a youth or a family tomorrow.
