My Story…
In 2020, the world changed almost overnight. Life also changed for Kenny and I as we lost both his mom, Sarah Goode, and my dad, Tom Redick, that year. The pandemic just seemed to magnify what we were learning firsthand, that millions of seniors in our country and their families need a lot of support as people become vulnerable with aging. For those of us living long-distance from family, it means everything when you find people you trust to help you with those you love the most.
I'm really proud of our caring staff and volunteers that do that for seniors and their families locally. Whether it's giving a senior a ride to the doctor, delivering a hot meal or groceries, cleaning their house, getting them bathed and dressed or simply calling with a friendly check, it all makes a big difference. And like training for a race, it's not a one-time good deal. Those services are needed daily or weekly to keep people safe.
Kenny and I are racing in memory of our parents. I'm asking for your support, so Family Service can help many others to take care of theirs.
